Rotala Sp. Pearl, is a smaller variation of this classic aquarium stem plant genus. This particular variation features varying tones of green, purple and pink when placed in optimal conditions. Like other Rotala species, Rotala Sp. Pearl adds plenty of color and texture to the planted tank when kept in larger groups. Rotala Pearl is fairly delicate and should be handled with care to avoid damaging the plant. It can be assumed that once established, this aquarium plant will require periodic pruning to encourage branching and growth.
Quality lighting, CO2 injection, and soft water are essential minimums to promote growth. On top of this, keeping all parameters consistent is a must as any dips or fluctuations will easily cause stunted growth. Beyond this, we recommend dosing micronutrients if intense deep colors are desired.
