EcoCrystal Temperature Buffering Packs are incredibly useful for shipping live organisms. These are not phase packs, but utilize a useful combination of temperature buffering ingredients to help keep your animals safe in transit. They have high specific heat, and are useful as a substitute for P22-24 materials. The crystalline binding prevents excessive leakage, even when heated. If heated into a liquid, it will act as a heat pack and release energy. If it is frozen into a solid, it will act as a heat sink and absorb heat energy, providing a cooling effect. These packs will help stabilize any package and aremeant to be used strategically in conjunction with a heat pack or cool pack to optimize temperatures for your transit profile. They are very similar to PCM 22. You may utilize these packs as additional buffers in mild weather without additional heat or cool, and they can generally substitute for phase packs when you need something in between “effectiveness”.
