The Red Legged Hermit Crab has a red face and legs with claws of equal sizes. They help clean the aquarium by feeding on green haired algae and cyanobacteria, and also sift through sand to help maintain good oxygen levels. The Red Legged Hermit Crab is reef-safe and is ideal in saltwater aquariums with plenty of algae to feed on. Shells should be provided for them to move into when they grow larger.
